Asian Paints approached us with a vision to celebrate India’s cultural diversity through brush packaging, creating a deeper emotional connection with consumers during festive and regional occasions. The brief was to design a limited-edition series of brush packs, each inspired by a state’s local heritage, art, and cultural pride, turning every brush pack into a small canvas that reflects the identity of its region.

Immersion & research
Deep-dived into each state’s art, crafts, architecture, and traditions to uncover authentic visual cues.
Design Translation
Cultural insights were translated into a refined visual system, combining region specific motifs and colour stories to create high impact, collectible packaging.
Cohesive rollout
Ensured every pack felt local in spirit, yet unmistakably Asian Paints in identity.
Tamil Nadu
Inspired by Bharatanatyam, gopurams, and the legacy of Thiruvalluvar, the design blends icons of Tamil culture into a vibrant visual story of art, architecture, and tradition.
West Bengal
From Durga Puja and the Howrah Bridge to the tram, yellow taxi, and Royal Bengal Tiger, the design is a tribute to Bengal’s art, celebration, and cultural pride.
Assam + North-East State
Embracing the rolling tea gardens, hand-woven traditions, the lively folk dance, cable cars, and the one-horned rhino, the design is a tribute to the Northeast’s nature, craft, and living heritage.
Odisha
From the sacred chariots and temple architecture to Odissi’s graceful movements and the coastal rivers and wildlife, the design reflects Odisha’s heritage, rhythm, and spiritual legacy.
Gujarat
Capturing the vibrant folk dances and traditional attire, iconic landscapes and cultural motifs, the design is a tribute to Gujarat’s rich heritage, everyday life, and timeless craftsmanship.
Kerala
From vibrant Kathakali and majestic cultural festivals to serene backwaters and racing Vallam Kali boats, this brush is inspired by Kerala’s rich culture and lush beauty, celebrating the artistry of painters who bring every wall to life.
